When it comes to the idea of “collaboration” in fashion, for most, it creates a sense of exhaustion. But with the new Gap and Cult Gaia collab, I couldn’t feel more different about it. This collaboration feels true to Gap’s preppy, modern, and timeless brand identity and Cult Gaia’s codes of being sexy and cutting-edge.
The collection features a series of billowing outerwear that looks like they just fell out of a Y2K R&B video. There are intricate barrel-cut silhouettes showcasing both brands’ ability to nail trends without having to do the most. What I like most about the collection is how sexy but refined it is.
Also, you’ll find statement-making jeans — which, no shocker — We are talking about Gap here, and you will also see chic cable-knit cardigans that work for days in the office or fun nights out on the town with the girls. If you’re a dress type of girl, the collection has the cutest designs that feel elevated and easy.
