If it wasn’t clear by now, Yung Miami can pull anything off. Her latest look shows that she knows how to take a risk.
The “Act Up” rapper shared a photoset on Instagram today, a couple of days after she and her rap group mate JT, who perform together as the City Girls, took the stage at Coachella 2023. In the photos, Yung Miami shows off her monochromatic ensemble.
For the top, she went with a black long-sleeve crop top that had a crisscross design along the front, adorned with crystals. On the lower half, she popped on black shorts accented by multiple crisscross straps strewn across that accentuated her body. All in all, the outfit feels edgy but feels reminiscent of attire that the ‘90s r&b group TLC would wear during their heyday.
One aspect that especially drove this comparison home was the black-colored hairstyle Yung Miami sported. It consisted of three wrapped bantu knot buns, with two having strands of hair jutting out and a straight-cut bang across the front finished off with a cascade of hair down her back. Honestly, we could see Left-Eye wearing this ‘do.
Also, I want to point out how much I love her orange nail polish. Punchy and bold. It’s a nice contrast.
On her feet, the Miami native threw on a pair of black over-the-knee boots. Accordingly, the shoes had a pointed-toe silhouette, and they encompassed a height of about four inches. Moreover, the boots included little pockets on either one, which plays up the functionality of the footwear while adding a stylish twist—it plays perfectly with the cargo trend running rampant in fashion at the moment.
The ”Take Yo Man” emcee is known for having chic and statement-making sartorial tastes that prompt her to wear bodycon designs and sleek cutout garments. For example, she recently donned a brown leather leotard teamed with matching over-the-knee boots from her performance at J. Cole’s Dreamville music festival. And she also wore a metallic gold swimsuit that definitely gave beach babe vibes.
As previously mentioned, Yung Miami is one half of the rap duo City Girls, and she is also the showrunner of her interview web show series “Caresha Please,” where she interviews celebrities, who tend to be her friends, and asks personal, in-depth questions that others can’t or typically don’t ask. But Yung Miami has strived to make a name for herself within the fashion industry as well, having had a collaborative collection with BooHoo and starring in campaigns for the collection.
