Gabrielle Union Plays With Neutrals in a White Mini Dress and Mules for Janet Jackson’s “Together Again” Tour

Looking chic in neutrals is no new feat for Gabrielle Union, and her latest ensemble shows how anyone can look stylish while opting for a subtle color palette.

The “Deliver Us from Eva” star shared a photoset on Instagram yesterday, showcasing her posing with Janet Jackson when she attended the debut of the musician’s new “Together Again” tour last Friday. The tour will be in a city near you (if you live in the United States), and Jackson will be playing some of her biggest hits—and she has a helping hand from Ludacris as an opening act.

For the occasion, Union wore a crystallized white mini dress. The garment had a high, square neckline partnered with spaghetti straps for a modern feel, and it also had a back cutout that added some edge to the sweet garment.

Union opted to go wet and wavy with the hair, thus styling her tresses in their natural state. It added a fun, casual twist to her appearance.

On her feet, Union threw on a pair of black peep-toe platform leather mules. The shoes had a height of approximately three inches and is reminiscent of the styles popularized in the ‘90s and early aughts. I love Union’s take on the typical black-and-white color scheme. It feels super modern while living up to the fashion codes Union tends to gravitate towards.

Speaking on her fashion codes, Union is known for having chic and sophisticated sartorial interests. For instance, a few weeks ago, she attended the GLAAD Awards with her daughter Zaya Wade while wearing a Moschino hooded gown that was sleeveless and floor-length for a regal moment worthy of an “Old Hollywood Glamour” title. In another post, she donned a black t-shirt teamed with baggy denim cargo jeans and sneakers for an outfit that gave skater vibes.

Union is a seasoned actress that has starred in films like “Bring It On” and “Daddy’s Little Girls.” But she also has strived to make a name for herself within the fashion industry, having created a collaborative clothing collection with New York & Company and starring in campaigns for the line.
