Lizzo knows how to put on a show; that’s not up for debate. And with her affinity for daring and bold styles, one could say that she’s glowing, and her latest look proves it.
The “About Damn Time” singer posted a video on Instagram yesterday that showed the multihyphenated talent doing some crowd participation while on a stop of her “The Special” tour in Glasgow, England.
For the exciting moment, Lizzo donned a monochromatic metallic gold ensemble. Let’s take it from the top. First, she opted for a sequined gold bodysuit affixed with spaghetti straps and a square neckline. It also featured draping to create volume on the front of the piece. Then, she popped on a pair of matching gold, sequin emblazoned pants that had a flared, high-waisted cut that made them easy for the songstress to move about the stage.
Lizzo decided to elevate her outfit with a middle part style silver, white wig for a nice contrast. The hair cascaded down her back and bounced and flounced as Lizzo moved about.
As for shoes, Lizzo completed the moment with a pair of platform combat boots that were, you guessed it, embellished with gold sequins which twinkled in the stage lights. The shoes had an added height of about two inches and meshed with clothing seamlessly.
When it comes to Lizzo and her sartorial aesthetic, she is inclined to wear modern and edgy silhouettes that feel fresh. For example, she recently wore a multicolored tweed mini dress and cropped jacket that gave off Chanel vibes, partnered with a pair of gold lace-up pointed-toe pumps, a brown Gucci clutch, and sleek shades for a look that had a business chic finish. And she also slipped on a strapless blue and fringe mini dress and black thigh-high boots, set on a transparent wedge heel, and black opera gloves.
Lizzo is known for making records like “Juice” and “Truth Hurts,” but she has also strived to make a name for herself within the fashion industry. She has starred in campaigns for her own size-inclusive shapewear brand Yitty, and she has also appeared in campaigns for the Australian eyewear brand Quay.
