Kody Phillips has a reputation for crafting functional, timeless pieces. For FW25, the (excellently) executed focus was on draping, embellishments and impeccable tailoring.
The 1950s New York-inspired collection of polos felt effortless especially alongside his leather Click Clack boots and Ricky Jacket. The jacket has a detachable fur collar, spicing up the aesthetics that inspired his design. As well as casual hoodies and knitted polos making an appearance.
But staying true to his style, Phillips developed this collection using modern aesthetics with a dash of embellishment, including adorned jewels, rope and faux fur — and the color pallet possesses neutral pieces with adorned jewels, rope and faux furs. Phillips debuted his new Rip Van Kody black denim cargo pants with over 10 pockets.
Fittingly, pieces like the Accordion Bag — which can expand to three times its size without compromising its sleek Italian leather shape — also emerged, and polka dot mohair scarves helped illustrate the Phillips’ ability to be sleek but fun.
Kody Phillips debuted pieces that can be worn to a cafe in Madrid or a work dinner in Los Angeles. Skilled resourcefulness. One of the many qualities of his aesthetic.
