Baby Tate is a fashion girl — full stop!
While attending Coachella in Indio, California, for the first time, Baby Tate — the “I Am” and “Hey Mickey!” songstress — posted two picture carousels to commemorate the moment and to showcase her ensembles. And, of course, she made sure that her fashions were on point, as only a real doll should!
For the second of two ensembles, Baby Tate took to Instagram to share how this year was her first Coachella experience and how she enjoyed herself. In the photos, she wore a brown furry bikini top coordinated with a frilly brown mini skirt to display her affinity for mixing and matching textures. Perhaps the most noteworthy moment of the look was her duster. This piece consisted of a swath of fabric covered in blonde wig hair, which fluttered and added volume to her vibe — honestly, it’s a statement-making garment that we’re sure turned plenty of heads.
What’s more, for accessories, she threw on the same white bucket bag from her previous post and went with a simple gold and pearl necklace to round it out. But can we take a minute for her heart-shaped bamboo door-knockers? The earrings were super cute, and had her name inscribed on them, which, in our opinion, took her attire to the next level!
As for footwear, Baby Tate wore a pair of fur-covered boots with a yeti-like appearance that matched her bikini top for a unified moment.
From the first of two looks, it’s clear Baby Tate took a page out of the current cowboy core trend. She went with a brown crochet bikini top — if you didn’t know, crochet is a trend for SS 24 — paired with a matching crochet bottom underneath a denim mini skirt and train situation (which captured our hearts)!
To accessorize, Baby Tate opted for a pair of mask-like white sunglasses, plenty of metallic chains and a white bucket bag that added extra edge to her vibe. Also, she threw on a silver chain belt with little horse cutouts that further bolstered her yee-haw aesthetic.
Finishing it all off, Baby Tate slipped on a pair of brown leather knee-high cowboy boots with contrast stitching and designs that gave the boots a rugged, laid-back feel we have come to know and love when it comes to cowboy boots. These boots were heelless, making them perfect for galavanting throughout the desert.
The Atlanta native is a multi-hyphenate talent — and the daughter of the legendary Dionne Farris — who has created her own wave in music due to her singing and rapping skills. Baby Tate has captivated the world at music festivals such as Dreamville and Lollapalooza — and in 2020, she won a Grammy for her talent as a songwriter on Dreamville’s Revenge of the Dreamers III.
As fans of Baby Tate and her craft, her sartorial tastes speak volumes and cut through the chatter on social media and in real life. We’re always waiting for a new Baby Tate photo to drop so we can feel inspired — and that’s what fashion should do.
