As most know by now, every time Cardi B steps outside, she will step in style. To prove this theory, let’s take a look at her latest post.
The “WAP” rapper shared a photoset on Instagram today that showed she and her son Wave Cephus while attending SZA’s SOS tour. Cardi B also performed her and SZA track “I Do” and also Phoebe Bridgers—who sang “Ghost In The Machine,” her collaboration track on SZA’s latest project, “SOS,” at the tour stop.
For the music-filled occasion, Cardi decided to step into a bright, colorful, and patterned vibe. Firstly, she wore a long-sleeve knit mini dress splashed with marigold, crimson, and beige. It also had a round-shaped neckline trimmed in a thick sweatshirt border—which matched the cuff outline. Perhaps one of the most interesting aspects about this dress—besides the starburst shape that explodes from the inside out, only leaving wavy, zig zap lines throughout the piece, is how plush the fabric looks. The stretch material has a fuzzy texture that elevates the garment.
Cardi B opted for simplistic but statement-making jewelry, going with a gold Van Cleef & Arpels necklace—accented with green gemstones and Van Cleef & Arpels bracelets also in gold.
Next, for hair, the Bronx native kept it chic and sophisticated with a brownish-blonde color middle-parted hairdo that further cemented her glam aesthetic. It felt classic but also very modern due to the length and certain styling elements.
Finishing off Cardi’s popping ensemble was a pair of red stiletto sandals. Who doesn’t love a vibrant heel? The heels had a height of approximately three inches and had a pointy toe bed that instantly gave a slight y2k feel. And across the back of the shoes was a set of red criss-cross straps that refined the sleek style. If the color didn’t seal the deal, they had rectangular silver crystallized buckles that added a nice touch of glitter.
When it comes to her clothing choices, Cardi B has a modern and edgy taste that she flaunts in streetwear photos, magazine covers, and red carpets alike. For instance, in another recent post, the “Up” emcee flaunted her love for Chanel by posting a picture of her wearing a Chanel sweatshirt, jeans, jeans, six-inch pink stilettos, and multicolored Chanel flap bag. Overall, the look had collegiate, prep energy but still showcased her flair for body-fitting garments for an added edge and polish. But some of the brands she also has an affinity for include Bottega Veneta, Rick Owens, and Christian Louboutin.
Cardi B has proven that she knows how to make a hit and that she knows how to craft a lane within the fashion industry. So far, she has starred on the covers of publications like Vogue and Elle, and she has also appeared in campaigns for brands like Balenciaga, Fashion Nova, and Reebok.
