Come one, come all. Ciara takes us to Renaissance Church service with her latest look.
On Friday, the “Level Up” singer uploaded to her Instagram a reel containing a series of images and videos that showed her strutting in an avant-garde outfit while Beyoncé’s “Church Girl” played. “Church Girl” is a cut from Beyoncé’s groundbreaking, and quite legendary if I do say so myself, critically acclaimed “Renaissance” album.
In the footage, we see Ciara enter the view wearing a gray ‘60s-inspired look that resembled chic monochromatic dressings the first lady of a Southern Baptist church would don on a crisp, cool first Sunday morning. It consisted of a shrug that had an abstract construction and a slouchy feel that appeared to be a chunky t-shirt turned upside, with the hem of the tee acting as a collar. Underneath, she popped on a matching gray sweater dress that was sleeveless and fell right below the knee.
Ciara chose to go understated yet strong with her accessories, opting for a pair of sleek black, rectangular shades and white leather opera gloves that Ciara bunched up towards her hands for a pop of volume and even more drama.
Sealing the deal was the coiffed bob she sported, which had slightly bumped ends. Ciara tucked one side behind her ear, adding to the effortless vibe she tends to exude when dressed to the nines.
To finish off her attire, Ciara slipped on a pair of metallic silver knee-high boots. The shoes had a pointed-toe silhouette and added about four inches of height to her stride.
The “Body Party” singer is known for her sartorial aesthetic and tends to spring for edgy aesthetics that both feel modern and fresh. For example, she set social media ablaze at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party, where she wore a black mesh floor-length halter dress accented by a plunging neckline. And, in another recent photo montage, the Atlanta native gave us a glimpse into her personal style while posing in a black bodysuit, a white fringe sweater with a “C” etched across the front—that felt appropriate, and a pair of black sky-high platform pumps. (Also, Ciara wore a pair of funky black shades that added a futuristic spin to the photos.)
Ciara is a varied talent responsible for making hits like “1,2 Step” and “Goodies.” She has forged a path for herself within fashion as well, and owns a clothing line, Lita by Ciara. The brand sells stylish silhouettes for contemporary women. She starred in campaigns for the brand and appeared in brands other labels like Roberto Cavalli and Pandora.
